Treval Guest House Access Statement
Please find outlined below information we hope will ensure you enjoy your visit to Treval Guest House regardless of whether your life is affected in some way by a medical condition, disability, impairment, or specific learning difficulty.
Prior to your arrival • Enquiries and reservations may be made through the Isle of Wight Tourist Board (Island Breaks), by phone or by email. • Should you require a taxi to the hotel from Sandown Railway Station (5 minute drive) or any ferry port, we would be
delighted to book it on your behalf. They do have vehicles suitable for wheelchairs if required.
• Directions to the hotel can be found on our website and in our brochures.
On arrival at the hotel • We have a parking area at the front of the hotel which is large enough to house 5 cars. • Entrance to the hotel is by way of one step and the front door threshold. Unfortunately we do not have a ramp for
wheelchairs.
• We are more than happy to help you with your luggage and will collect it from your car and deliver it to your room if preferred.
Reception hall • Ground floor level fully carpeted with a rug runner • Low-level desk available.
Public areas • Our lounge is well lit and carpeted. • The Conservatory dining room has a laminated floor with a large rug covering most of it, and this is also on one level and is
accessible from the front entrance of the hotel.
• There are two doors from reception to the Dining room. • All bedrooms are situated on the ground floor and every room is either en-suite or has a private shower room with toilet. • The bedrooms, hall and public rooms have smoke/fire alarms but these do not have flashing lights. Assistance is given if
evacuation is necessary.
The Conservatory Dining Room • There is ample movable seating and there are chairs with or without arms • Full waiter service at breakfast • Dining room tables are laid with white table linen and blue waterproof toppers. • All areas are well lit.
Accommodation • All rooms are located on the ground floor. • All rooms have digital TV with teletext and subtitles facilities. • We do have one adapted shower with a fold-down seat and a grab rail beside the toilet. However, other rooms do not have
special facilities and no grab rails are in the bedrooms
• We are able to use the front doors or exit door in the Conservatory in the event of evacuation. Assistance for evacuating will
automatically be offered by the proprietors.
